U.S. HISTORY WORLDWIDE

2026 US History Worldwide Student Box Swap Experience was a success!

From Mongolia to Egypt to Germany — and so many places in between! 🌍

One of the hardest parts of the Foreign Service life is moving every couple of years and wanting your kids to feel like they truly belong somewhere. That’s exactly why this community means so much to us.

Our U.S. History Worldwide exchange brought FS kids together from across the globe. They poured their hearts into boxes for someone they’d never met — and got one back from a kid living a life that looks a little different, but feels a whole lot the same.

Hearing about all the goodies our families sent and received has been such a joy. This is what community looks like, no matter where in the world you call home. 💛

The kiddos got creative and filled their boxes with so many different things, like:

  • Souvenirs
  • Treats
  • Little toys
  • Crafts
  • Games,
  • Hats
  • T-shirts

We’re always looking for ways to keep our FS kids engaged in our community, and keep them excited to learn.

U.S. History Worldwide is much more than teaching kids about American history, it’s also about helping them build confidence, compassion, community, and connection. Fun activities like the Box Swap are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all the creative ways we keep FS life exciting for our kids!

Your family can be a part of our wonderful community too! We strive to help your kids better connect not just to their unique life abroad, but also to their country back at home! If you haven’t yet, join our Toolbox for Foreign Service Families Facebook group to stay connected to all things FS life.
